Yesterday I faced 6am for the first time in well... years. My Mum was doing a carboot sale and I offered to help (in the hope of finding some bargains on the other stalls in the process). It was cold and wet but finally after we'd set up, I set off to source some deals.

I  nearly lost hope (and my Mum's stall) but eventually, I came across these beauties:

Neither is worth much, or made of real silver/gold but I think they are lovely pieces of costume jewelry! I paid just £3.50 for both items and that really is an amazing deal!

The silver clock is a battery powered quartz clock, whereas the gold flower watch is a wind up mechanism. I feel a collection of pocket watches coming on!

Later, I went to my friends house (and we forced my boyfriend to watch HSM 3, much to his annoyance!) but sadly I arrived home to the bad news that our hamster was dying. We wrapped up poor george in a flannel and lay him on a hot water bottle. We also had to help him drink as he was so weak. Its always sad to see a beloved pet die. R.I.P George.

L'oreal Paris Perfect Clean Foaming Cream Face Wash Review

For starters- ^ WHAT a mouthful! However, do not let this put you off. My Mum brought me home this product a few weeks ago and, to be honest, I thought it looked like a lot of unnecessary effort. I'm more a splash and go kinda gal so using the 'scrublet' over my current favourite (no fuss) face wash seemed a bit pointless.

However, my kind Mum had brought it for me, so last night I took the plunge.

The face wash claims to leave you with a 'clean sensation,' make your 'pores look smaller' and give you 'velvety smooth skin.' I would agree with 2 of the 3 -which isn't bad going! I was left feeling very clean and more (HUGE) pores did appear reduced although sadly my skin was no smoother than normal, even after I re-used the product this morning. I actually even liked the 'scrublet' and my T-Zone remained oil free throughout a 5 our shift  Not bad going!

I'm not sure I would choose this product again as my current face wash contains witch hazel (which is amazing on my spots). But I may continue to use the 'scrublet' even after the product runs out as it did feel as if i was really getting into all my pores.

Tick Tock

Wearing my favourite accessory today: my antique pocket watch. It was a present from my grandparents on my 16th birthday and we spent ages trawling London markets/antique shops to find the perfect one. Unfortunately over a 100 years of wear took a toll on my baby and the minute hand fell off recently. I'm hoping to have it repaired soon.

Skirt -Topshop, shirt -Primark,

socks- M&S and watch- Antique

Wearing this watch always makes me think of Alice in Wonderland. (Yes, yes I'm obsessed alright? I said it ok?) The pocket watch is also my favourite thing to photograph:

I've seen a lot of 35mm posts on here recently and I thought I'd share with y'all some of my own film shots. I used my Canon Program AE-1 with a zoom lens to take these photos. Enjoy!

Excuse the awful quality of our scanner. It drives me bananas sometimes!

Todays outfit consists of my white New Look t-shirt, my (new) green Zara skirt (£4.99 in the sale BOO YA), vintage patent leather boots, Vintage belt, M&S tights, H&M necklace and a New Look blazer. I'm just loving this skirt -its such an awesome colour! I'm also using this primark clutch to carry the essentials in!

Yesterday I had a girly day with my Mum and Sister which consisted of shopping and 'One Day.' One Day was just as good as I expected. Of course it missed out stuff from the book but, then again, which films based on novels don't? Its hard to fit a massive novel into 108 mins. I loved Anne Hathaway in it -she was the perfect Emma Morley, Dex was as I imagined him too so its worth a see. Warning: There will be tears shed. I don't think there was a single dry eye in my showing!

I also picked up some beauty essentials:

Carmex Lipbalm in Strawberry (still can't decide if I prefer cherry or strawberry) 2.00

Some new tweezers to tame the beasts! 1.79

This evening my lovely boyfriend is coming over for dinner (by this I mean cook me dinner since the oven is alien to me!) and I'm hopefully going to get to see West is West and Whip it starring the fabulous Ellen Page.

For those of you who have twitter, I've finally taken the plunge and made an account. Find me here: http://twitter.com/#!/ThisDystopia. Mention me in a tweet containing your blog URLs and I'll be sure to check out and follow y'all!

Stay beautiful,

Monday Blues

Todays outfit matched my blue mood:
Shirt: Primark
Bracelet: Crown and Glory
Belt: Vintage
Skirt: Vintage
Tights: House of Holland
Shoes: M&S

I went shopping with my best friend in a mood lifting attempt and ending up buying a few bits. If anyone lives near a Dorothy Perkins I suggest popping in soon, they have a buy one get one free offer on a selection of great clothes. I got two silk tops (both priced at £8, but one was free). One is a lovely pink and the other is a brown colour, perfect for college! I then picked up some bits and pieces from H&M with my voucher I got given on my birthday. Retail therapy love.

Ring: H&M -£3.99

Necklace: H&M- £6.99

Tops: Dorothy Perkins

Skirt: H&M -£7.99

I love H&M! Such great bargains to be had. Mood= lifted.

Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you

Many of my family members have time shares in a gorgeous country club in New Forest, so naturally it was a perfect place to hold my cousins wedding which took place yesterday. It was a lovely day for it and the wedding happened outside the gorgeous listed building with a view of the sea.

The bride and bridesmaids looked lovely in white with hints of royal blue and a good day was had by all.

Here are some photos of the setting and what I wore:

Dress: Independent boutique
Shoes: Next

Funnily enough, the dress I wore is actually my prom dress from last year! I decided rather than buying a new dress for the wedding I'd make use of my prom dress which has only been worn once before. I really enjoyed giving it another airing.

The evening was spent dancing and drinking 'Happily Ever After' cocktails, which are made from: Peach schnapps, cranberry juice and ginger ale -Yummy!

Hope you are all having a good weekend?
