Get Chloë Moretz's Look

Chloë Moretz is only 15 but already an International super star. If you don't know her, you probably should. Shes starred alongside Eva Greene and Johnny Depp in 'Dark Shadows,' kicked ass in 'Kick Ass' as Hit Girl and played the role of sister and psychiatrist to big brother Tom in '(500) Days of Summer.' Chloë also took roles in two of my favourite horrors: 'Let Me In' and 'The Amityville Horror.' Lets not forget, shes only 15!

If I can be as talented as her, I can at least emulated her look- which is exactly what I did in the video and photographs below. Her People's Choice Awards look for the 2013 event, to be exact. Shes effortless and fashionable. Someone please give me her fashion sense, stat.

Blacking in and out in a strange flat in East London

IMG_3209 Happy snow day, gentle folk! I hope you are keeping warm whilst also enjoying the flakes. We've had a massive flurry down here, so for the past few days I've been wearing jeans, my Moon Boots and my Ski Jacket to avoid the cold- hence no outfit photographs! However, the paths and roads are now clear and Brighton seems to have got over the initial 'oh my gosh snow we are un-prepared please help us and close all roads' state the were in a while ago! Today I was able to wear pumps and tights out without the fear of falling over- yay!IMG_3205
Skirt: H&M
Tee: H&M
Cardigan: Primark
Shoes: Miss Selfridge
Hat: eBay
I also threw my leather jacket over the top of this ensemble and I've been pretty fine to walk around campus all day. However, once I get into my toasty lecture theaters I'm immediately sweltering. Its that awkward time of year when I'm always too cold outside and too hot inside...IMG_3223 IMG_3224 I decided to accessorize with hoops earrings and loads of stacked jewellery from Pandora (bracelets), a watch (Oasis) and my camera ring from eBay. Still can't decide whether I think gold jewellery would have been better? Let me know your thoughts below.IMG_3213 IMG_3215
Lets also take a moment to appreciate the beauty that is my yellow bobble hat. Two words: Fuzzy, goodness. Its such a great mustard yellow and is so snug. I don't ever want to take it off. I may have a slight addiction to beanies, but thats okay because they are practical and warm in this weather. Right?

Atomic Turquoise

last week, I, upon impulse used Decolour's Stripper and Manic Panic N.Y.C's Hair Dye in Atomic Turquoise to dip dye my hair. Shall I rewind? It was an awesome day of shopping and having a good time with my friend Rosie, in Camden, when we came across Cyber Dog's Camden store. The loud music and LED lights drew us in and we were immediately pouring over the awesome UV makeup. After a few minutes of browsing and admiring the shop assistants incredible pink hair, I decided I needed to add more colour to my barnet. I picked up Atomic Turquoise and that was it, it was love.

This is what my semi permanent dip dye looks like after a week of washing. More green than it started off, but I still love it. I've got plans to use the permanent version of the dye seeings as the next three years are the last ones I have before I have to act a 'grown up' and get a *gulps* 'serious job!!* Eek! However, for now, I'm loving pretending I'm a mermaid and I've got quite a few compliments on the new 'do.

Yes, having a dip dye is a strain on my ends, but I'm using a lot of treatments on them and plan on getting regular trims to maintain the hairs strength.

So, what do you think of my dip dye? Have you ever gone a crazy colour?

Atrixo Vintage Blogger Event

Yesterday, Atrixo held a Vintage blogger event at a rather nice venue in London (lets just say I was glad I donned boots rather than converse!) It was a lovely evening hosted by Atrixo and accompanied by The Vintage Patisserie ladies who were on hand to give us Vintage inspired makeovers and hair styles. We were also told we would be taught how to Knit a tiny little knitted flower by the knitting queen: Catherine Hirst. In between all this excitement, we were spoiled with cream teas, dainty cakes and canapes! Its a tough job, but someone has to do it.

I loved the decor of the place- very vintage Britain and seeing loads of bloggers wandering around with awesome vintage 'victory curls' was a treat.

I met some amazing girls, and everyone from Atrixo was lovely. I'd heard of Atrixo before, and seen them in Boots, but then again- they have been around for 50 years! However, I'd never tried any of their products (the make hand cream for those of you who may not have heard of them). But with 50 years under their belt, they obviously know what they are talking about.

Atrixo were kind enough to gift all the bloggers attending with a goody bag full of treats for out hands. Included were: The intensive, regenerating and enriched versions in the varying packaging (large tubs, travel size and squeezy tubes). I'm incredibly grateful to Atrixo for this treat and I must say I have been loving the hand creams so far. I keep the small pot in my hand bag, whilst I plan on applying the intensive one before bed (so that will live beside my bed!)

The creams sink in and moisturise like a dream. I think perhaps the packaging is a little out dated for my tastes, but it reflects the brands 'vintage' roots and their long running achievements. I find myself applying this once, a few times a day, which is a revelation for someone with as dry hands as mine. I'm normally applying my Lush hand cream at least once every 3 hours to ensure I don't shrivel like a prune.

I recieved a make over from The Vintage Patisserie girls who were dressed in vintage pinnies and silky dresses (SO CUTE). I love the final effect. Its so simplistic, yet it really looks like a lot of effort has gone into the makeup. I'm definitely going to be rocking a cat eye flick more often!

Included in our gift bags were an Atrixo shaped cake (yes, that is really made of cake!) which I thought was another sample at first- its so realistic! Alongside a pretty vintage style tea cup from the dotcomgiftshop. I will be adding this to my collection of tea cups (its like they read my mind!) and can't wait to sip some Chamomile tea out of it.

I'd like to send out a massive thank you to Atrixo for having me, and all the hard work they put into pulling off such a fabulous event. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Two men on the horizon

Jumper: River Island
Shorts: Topshop
Shoes: Converse
Necklace: Vintage
Beanie: Topshop
I'm going to hold my hands up and say: I'm beanie obsessed. I currently own two and have three more on order. Is this number necessary? No, probably not, but one had kitten ears, and then there was the coral one, but it seemed silly to buy loads of colours with out a black one, right?

I wore this outfit today, when my boyfriend came round- he took these photos! My Mum and Sister didn't like the mix of metallic and monochrome, but I love it! I think the contrast of the soft jumper and the shiny shorts works.

Jimbo couldn't help but capture my cat, Kiki Dee, as she explored the garden. Isn't she cute? Tell me what you think of my outfit!

If I was a wealthy girl

A few months ago, I was a makeup obsessive. I even told my friend (who was horrified) that I'd take a £1000 worth of makeup over a Chanel handbag. However, 2013 has seen fashion over take my love for makeup. To celebrate the rekindled fire, I decided to write the handbag lust list of mine. bags I will probably never own, but will always dream of.

1. The Tory Burch Robinson Saffiano Double Zip Tote: £500
This is an 'on duty' bag. Big enough to hold everything, stylish and polished. It screams 'serious career girl' to me and I love the gold hard wear.

2. The Lulu Guinness Union Jack Lips Clutch: £475
Lulu's well known signature 'lips' clutch is something any fashion follower will have heard of. The ultimate night out accessory. It screams, I'm British, proud and I know my fashion!

3. The Vivienne Westwood Frilly snake-print large jasmine shoulder bag: £265
A little bit different, yet still classy and practical. This handbag will modernise any look and add an 'edge' to even the most plain jane of outfits. Punky, beautifulness.

4. The Prada Top Handle in Cornflower Blue: £1,290
The priciest bag on this list, but also the biggest and boldest. The way the blue contrasts with the gold hardwear in a playful yet stylish way sends shivers down my spine. Get in my closet. Please and thank you.

5. The Mulberry Bayswater: £995
I love this Rasberry shade but my Mum and I have also lusted after the deep purple and evergreen variants. Mulberry has some how become a 'blogger' staple in a world of young women. How do they afford it? If someone could let me know the secret, I'd be very grateful.

6. The Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5 Zip Clutch: £171
The cheapest on this list, but also the smallest. This would be amazing for days out when all you need is your phone, keys and wallet. I love the detailing on the Mini Five Zips and the wide range of shades you can purchase them in.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some drooling to do....

My Pandora Bracelet

A while ago, I was asked by a reader to do a post on my pandora bracelet which I have owned for nearly 3 and a half years and wear all the time. I was bought my silver Pandora bracelet by Jimbo (my boyfriend) for the anniversary of our first year together. It was a really touching gift as I'd mentioned (months before) that I wanted one but never mentioned it again. He completely surprised me with it, such a thoughtful boy.
 1. Charm one is a Pandora charm in the form of small giraffe. I was bought this by my Granny as a Christmas present, three months after initially receiving my bracelet. It doesn't have a particular meaning to it, but its so cute and every time I see it I think of my Granny.
2. The '16' charm I was bought by my boyfriend's parents on my 16th birthday. Although 16 isn't a massive milestone in the UK (unlike the USA), for me it symboled the end of my GCSEs and the start of College!
3. Was bought for me by my Granny on the same occasion as my first charm. Turquoise is my favourite colour so this kick started a blue/green theme that my bracelet has held on to.
4. Is a heart Pandora charm from my oldest best friend. We met aged 4 and have been friends ever since, despite her moving to Switzerland when we were 12. It reminds me of her, our friendship and the fact that long distance can work.
5. Five is, to this date, the only charm I've bought for myself. Its a tiny lock, from MissMagpie a shop which sells real silver charms, that aren't Pandora branded, yet made in the same factory as Pandora charms! Its in the shape of a little heart.
6. Is from Jimbo, again in a beautiful turquoise colour. I Absolutely love this one and so thankful I have a generous boyfriend. This one was a Valentines Day present one year when he couldn't be with me on the day.
7. Was a Christmas present from Jimbo, the first Christmas I owned the bracelet. I really like the pattern of this one. Having so many Murano glass Pandora beads makes me feel so so lucky. Every single bead bought for me by Jimbo signifies another event we've celebrated together.
8. Is a Pandora penguin, bought for me by my boyfriend and Is best friend, Tom. His nickname has been penguin for years now, so long- I can't even remember why! So he bought me this penguin charm for Christmas one year. It reminds me of our friendship and his generosity.
9. Is a handbag, from my Aunt and Uncle from MissMagpie. My Aunt also likes Pandora so she knew where to find real silver charms made by the same factory that makes real Pandora charms. However, as these aren't officially Pandora branded, they are much cheaper! The shop is called MissMagpie, Find them here. I absolutely love this one- I was given it for my birthday, the year I started my blog which always reminds me of my love for fashion and making this little space dedicated (partially) to it!
10. Is the safety catch, bought or me by Jimbo, who knows I can be accident prone! I love it and the way it looks dangling down my arm. It just adds something, ya know? This was my 17th birthday present.

 11. Number Eleven is a sweet little phone charm from my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins. I love how sweet this is and that it even has tiny buttons on it- adorable! This, again was a birthday present.
12. Here is another angle of the heart charm from my best friend. Evidently I forgot I'd already number it during the editing process. I suck.
13. Charm Number thirteen is a charm saying '18' not '81' and I got this on my eighteenth birthday from my boyfriend's parents! I'm so grateful to them for both the 16 and 18 charm. They are just there to remind me of my life journey and how far I've come.
14. Is my newest charm and it another MissMagpie beauty from my Aunt and Uncle. They gave this angel-esque lady to me before I headed to Uni last September to watch over me and help me through a major life changing event! It certainly helped as I've completed my first term without any major bumps or scrapes.
Lastly, I thought I'd show you my other Pandora bracelet, also from Jimbo. This was given to me for Valentines day and its the most lovely leather bracelet. It looks amazing layered with my silver one and feels so soft. If you want a Pandora bracelet but don't have a tonne to spend, the leather bracelets are an amazing way to go- they are so beautiful with their woven design and come in a range of colours.

I'm grateful to everyone who buys me charms for my bracelets, especially Jimbo who started the whole thing off, three and a half years ago. To me my Pandora bracelet is a symbol of my loved ones who I can wear on my sleeve at all times, literally.

When I thought that suffering was something profound

Jumper: Topshop
Jacket: Primark
Trousers: Motel Rocks
Shoes: Barrats
Hat: Topman
Yesterday I visited Camden in London with my Mum and Sister. The area is the height of cool with unique, alternative and vintage shops and stalls around every turn. You can blag some real bargains in the market or enjoy the pretty view of the locke and enjoy some Chinese food (£4 for a lunchbox full of everything- amazing). I enjoyed both these activities. I wore a snuggly knit jumper from Topshop and decided to crack out my Topman trilby to spice up an other wise practical and un inspiring outfit.

After indulging in a jacket (a dupe for the missguided glitter sleeves jacket Millie Mackintosh sported) and some crepes, the three of us traipsed over to Oxford Street for my sister who isn't really 'into' the whole vintage, indie scene Camden offers. Topshop and John Lewis' Beauty Hall were of course, on the cards. I came up trumps in only Topshop however after going to purchase NARS' Tropic eyeshadow in JLBH but finding it out of stock. However I left Topshop with some goodies I'm sure I'll introduce you too in a few posts time!
